About the OVHP
The Land Between Web Site Link Educational institutions should purchase videos from our educatinal distributor, McIntyre Media. McIntyre Media

The Ontario Visual Heritage Project has been developed as a multimedia toolkit for educators; and as part of each project, toolkits are freely distributed to every school, library and historic site in the area and surrounding regions. While local history is not a focus of the Ontario Curriculum, the content in the toolkits stretches far beyond the local level and can be applied to a number of subjects.

We have developed course guides to accompany all of our most recent projects to help you to incorporate the Ontario Visual Heritage Project easily into your curriculum (on both the primary and secondary school levels). Course guides include activities created from the content in the documentary and a transcript of everything said during the film for easy reference.

Each project website has also been optimized for use by educators. There you will find all video content freely available to view in streaming media. The stories section of each project page contains links to complimentary websites, a downloadable podcast of the video, and a brief description on the chapter's content - making it easy for both you and your students to access and navigate content.
